928 Therapy

Well, I have needed some therapy for quite some time and I got my fix today! I was in the '84 and it was such a nice day and so I just started driving... I figured I'd know when to turn around...well, after 3+ hours and nearly 200 MILES of driving... I TURNED AROUND! LOL! I drove (well, some of it was filling up w/ gas and eating lunch) SIX HOURS! NICE! Covered almost 400 miles and the car was AMAZING! I am not telling you guys anything you don't already know though.

My purpose was three fold, get some really away time where it was just me the car and my thoughts, see some parts of Texas I have never seen or have not seen in a very long time and finally to shake the '84 down in case it actually does sell. I won't sell it if I don't trust it and I said I trusted this car and it was time to put my money where my mouth was...WOW! I tell you want, the '84 4spd auto cars are a ball out on the open road. Fast, smooth, comfortable (though I think the newer style seats are even MORE comfortable); what more could a driver ask for!

I hope a good home will adopt my Rudy Red '84 baby...if not, I'll certainly be MORE than happy to keep her around!! What a car! 70-90+ most of the drive and when you hit the loud pedal...OFF YOU GO, even at that starting speed!

Is that original paint?

It was repainted by a Mercury dealership in '92...not sure why, I have not seen any evidence of wreck damage (but I didn't do a CarFax on it) and there was no indication that body panels were repaired, just a lot of paint prep and painting. Thanks for the compliment. It does look VERY, VERY nice! This car gets more compliments than my GTS's (one silver, one white) from "regular" people...Porsche and most car people LOVE the GTS's more than any other 928 though. (You can see my other babies in my "garage")
