There are only three parts of that system, the master, slave, and the line that connects them. It has to be one of the three. The master cylinder is located underneath the pedal cluster on the driver's side. Should be easy to get to by removing the floorboard (might have to get to it from underneath - I can't recall off the top of my head...)

The master cylinder is in the engine compartment. It's not even slightly accessable!! Once you remove it; replace the blue hose that goes to the reservoir and make sure the pressure hose is good too.
Just remove parts to aid getting at the cylinder..some people remove the brame master cylinder (we don't) and the booster.. Be very careful not to cross-thread the pressure pipe. Good luck.

still have scars from that one
Being a self proclaimed good wrench turner. I hope to NEVER have to do that again. You can pull the carpet back in the foot well to see if Clutch master is leaking. But getting into the engine compartment to RR the clutch master cylinder is a real pain.
I am living proof it can be done in the driveway put ear plugs on the kids to muffle the cussing. |
