RE:intake/spider whats that

:confused:Hey Guys, may be stupid question, on 82 - 928 there is a hole in the back of the

intake/spider. is any thing suppose to go in there, i thought i saw some with plug

in them. i will appreciate any answers. thanks Ed.

If it's at the top rear center and goes all the way through then it's for a bolt that goes through and presses on the center of the base of the air cleaner assembly to help it seal to the throttle body.

At least that's what it is on my '79.

Yeah, the bolt is there on a CIS system like your 79. 82 is different. I am new to the EFI, so I can check on my newly acquired 83 for you after work today. Unless someone chimes in with the answer sooner.

Should be a plug there.

Usually has a plug, but IIRC it is cast right through and does not really need it.
