Hi guys, need help again. 1. winding sound from rear when iam parked with engine running. 2. brand new brakes and rotors installed 1,000 miles ago and they are squeaking when coming to a stop. 3. electric cooling fan didn't kick on while getting close to red mark. thanks ED.

For #3 - assuming you have a stock cooling system and not after market fans - look up under the front of the car at the lower right hand corner of the radiator. That is the temperature sensor - pull both wires, jump them across with a paper clip - fan should start.

Thanks neil, so if i jump it and it runs, means temp sensor is bad, right. ED.

# 1 auto or manual #2 stock pad? try lubing contact points with a brake grease. #3 see Neils post. If the fan starts, change sensor. If not check fuse, there may be a relay too. then if there's power to the fan, the fans bad. I had something I unplugged wedge it's self in the fan an blew the fuse before.

2) You need to bed those brakes pad in. Maybe a Google search or maybe here.

3) Disconnect the Electric fan at the Temp Switch at the lower front of Radiator, then jump the wires together. If the fan runs with the key on or car running, then it's the Temp Switch. Easy to do and I didn't even drain the Coolant. Just be ready to put the new one in as you remove the old. Keep the Cap on the Overflow as this will keep the Coolant from rushing out at full speed into your face ;)

Not so fast, maybe your gauge on the panel is in-accurate - they tend to read wildly off - best way is to go get an IR thermometer at Harbor Freight, and check temps with that to be sure.

Hi pete, #1 is auto, its sounds like a fuel pump may be going bad. advise please. ED.

Jumper the fuel pump relay, you'll instantly know if it's the fuel pump that's making the noise in question or not.

My fuel pump has been buzzing for years. Listen carefully when you turn the key to the run position. If your hear the noise before it starts and everything starts spinning, it's a good bet the thing your hearing is the pump.
