82 928, plastic bonding product?

i didnt want to title gas tank drip...drip... as the subject isnt funny, but careful careful inspection and proceding with ??

plastic gas tank product -- fuel resistant/ plastic bonding. I read here Seal-All how did that work out, good product? anyone for other products or procedure?.

Im thinking also flexing product so question would also be in the repairing as it expands underpressure something that would flex vs scuffing filling ,layering ...... and possibly getting a useless cold seal that'll just crack apart.

Beside the obvious to replace tank. I can put 8-10 gallons in fine i seem to have about half way up tank (pass side) yep a seam leak . Closed seam(no drip) unpressurized no fuel on floor when not running, after driving/parked very few drips/seeps are on floor.

ideas? what and how to repair -------- what exactely is tank material? for best product result.

Check out

TRM-8101 STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE at SummitRacing.com
or
3M's DP420 at jdindustrialsupply.com

I have used both on the front cover ( which is plastic) with good results, but no experience with the gas tank.

9/2/2010 found another thread -- fuel tank repair? too.

i just picked up seal-all we'll see. Finding gas oil ..resistant is half the battle, getting to stick the other.
