Yamabond When? Loctite 574 When?
The technical description of loctite 574 describes it as a flange sealant, used as a form-in-place gasket for gearbox and engine casings. Sounds simillar to yamabond.
I have both. What application would require yamabond and which loctite574? Currently, I am in the middle of a t-belt/ tensioner / water pump, etc. job. I will also be doing other work on the car and thought that the yamabond would be for gaskets and sealing and the loctite for thread applicatiions. Now I'm not so sure. Thanks in advance, Greg |
