Interior door panel removal(85 Model)?

What is the proper way to remove the interior door panel? Need to do some cosmetic repairs on the panel and check window motor.. Thanks

to remove the door panel first disconnect the battery,
then remove the door lock center cap then remove the screw pull off the knob.
Then place your hand over the knob surround and unscrew it.
then along the bottom edge of the door find 2 sheet metal screws, remove them.
open the door all the way and where the wire harness goes into the door panel remove the 2 screws that hold the trim plate under the harness sheath.

Pull out the air tube surround just above the harness.

unscrew the single screw holding in the trim plate behind the door opening handle remove the trim then gently pull on the top edge of the trim panel that the do0r hand surround was covering -pop off the two plastic clips then lift it up and out.
remove the door light with flat blade screw driver pressing in on the one side with the metal tab, disconnect the wires noting position.

on the DS gently pry up on the mirror/seat memory control, make a diagram of the wires blue green and yellow then disconnect the plug in portion.

then with a 10 mm socket remove the 5 bolts that hold the armrest onto the door,
open the armrest to get to the 2 screws inside the well,
they might have black caps pry these off first,
also where you removed the air tube guide there is a longer bolt look inside the hole.
lift off the armrest look under the armrest for hidden screws usually at the rear edge of the door panel once the armrest is off then gently pry the edges of the panel off the door its held in with plastic clips.
then once the door panel is unclipped move it outwards at the bottom then slide it forward about 1 inch this will disconnect the rear top area with a slide pin. gently rest the door panel on a milk crate while leaning it towards you disconnect the speaker wires noting position feed the other wires through the door then gently twist the panel so it comes free of the door harness.
