belt tension light
i recently swapped an engine and did TB and WP,did everything right im sure, but the belt tension light comes on for no apparent reason, the last engine had it disconnected, actually the wires were cut , but the new engine came with a new harness so i hooked it up, the light came on the first day of starting the new engine, knowing there was no error in my work i took off the cover and checked the tension, tension was perfect, ive been driving the car for a month with the light coming on every day usally 5 minutes after start up, so 1500 mi later i took the cover off again to check tension, still perfect, but today i left the wire unplugged for the tensioner, and still the light came on,,, any one have any ideas?

Clean the contacts including the "trigger" section, and pretty sure OK is with the wire grounded.

Thank you Danglerb,i am not sure about where the trigger section is, im thinking it is at the end of the copper lead on the tensioner arm and that is located under the center cover, so i grounded the wire and my light stays out, thanks again
