Rear seat removal

I just removed the center section of my S spoiler and am in the process of removing the interior quarter panels so I can remove the two small spoiler wings.

I started to remove the base of the rear seat and it seems to be glued to the base. Is this normal and should I just slowly pull it up to break the glue seal?

Rick

to remove the side spoilers there are screws under the lower outside edges about 4 inches back from the the front edge and then about 9 inches back from the front edge then one screw in the hatch channel..
NOTE you do not have to remove any interior parts to remove the outside spoilers, if you look under the wheel wells at the top you will see a few screws holding the screw plates onto the outsides of the car

Thanks - I just checked and found them in the wheel wells. That will save a lot of work.

My spoiler was added some time after the car was new and I want to remove it to make the car more original. The good news is that when they put on the wings, they only added one attachment about one inch back from the front edge and then used it and the screw on the hatch panel. The bad news is that they used rivets rather than screws - looks like it is time for the dremel.

I still would like to know how the rear seat bottom is attached as I have other plans to remove the interior quarter panels so I can re-glue the edges where they have come loose.

Its glued.
You need to run one hand under the cushion while using the other to lift upwards on the cushion.

Yeah, just pull slowly on the cushion, it will let go, and may even stay tacky so you can just put it back down with ease.
