1986 928S specs....
Anyone know if the 1986 928S 288HP/302LB FT torque numbers are derived from the crank, or at the wheels? Just curious if anyone has such erronious information.

I know my 86 has plenty of power to spare, spins the rear wheels effortlessly, I don't have your answer

Crank.

Why does 'anyone' need this kind of information? Curiousity, of course. Thanks, gents!

Erroneous? Inconceivable!
Manufacturer figures are generally quoted as crank figures. However the 85/86 32V with chips will happily put down higher numbers at the wheels than the factory quoted crank figures. |

I believe that HP was normally measured as crank HP in those days, I suspect most mfg. HP numbers still are today. Wny? Better number than wheel HP and independent of transmission selections and the like....
