Heater hose/ coolant hose connection
Hello,
I have a 1979 928 and I'm replacing all hoses, some hoses were missing when I acquired the car. There is an "adapter " as its called on the Porsche parts list I can't seem to find a diagram of a hose attaching here, searched everywhere. There is coolant in the fitting and its on the driver's side closest to the firewall. I'm assuming it must be part of the heating system, possibly a return line back to the cylinder head. Thanks ![]() ![]()

that is the old part of the air oil seperator heated vent line. there is a air hose with metal coolant pipe inside. a lot of people delete it and just redirect or cap the coolant line.

Thanks ! I watched a few videos on the Tube and saw an explanation of that air hose/ crank case vent hose with the metal hose embedded in it. I just connected it to the coolant bridge.
Thanks for the info. Now I'm replacing the clutch and brake master cylinders today, what a fun job. ![]() H
