'82 Part identification help for Newb please.

I am trying to identify two items on my '82 928. The first 2 pictures are a connector that plugs into (i'm guessing) the brake light switch under the master brake cylinder. One of the contacts inside the connector has corroded to dust. I need to know what this connector is to replace it.

The second part I am trying to identify is a 14 pin wiring harness located on the front right side of the engine bay. It has crumbled to pieces. I was going to order part # 911 612 113 05 but is is listed as being for model years '82-95. Will this work for my '82? (just trying to be cautious)

Once again, your help is greatly appreciated.

Terry

Until you fix that 14 pin, don't even worry about the other connector. The 14 pin carries all the main wires you need up front, and don't even try and start the car until you redo it, any short up there will fry your wiring - -See my post at,

and others, search for 14 pin...

Thanks neil. so is this the part i need? Wiring Harness Connector for Engine (14-Pin Male Connector with Pins), 928 (1983-95)

You need male and female.
Call one of the 928-only suppliers for discussion, they will know the part numbers.

(If they don't almost immediately know the answer, you are talking to the wrong outfit)

Talk to one of the 928 specific vendors, I think you just need a new pin holder shell thing.

Yes, it fits the 82 as well - The top connector is 911 612 113 05 14-pin Engine Connector - Male Top - search on pelican for it - but it looks like the lower connector is cracked as well, super glue should fix that if no other issues with it.

Edit -
just looked closer at the picture, you need teh lower half as well - that top left pin ( yellow) is #14, the starter feed - and it's hanging in space right now.
See the diagram below:

while i am calling one of the 928 parts specialists can anyone identify the connector in the upper picture so i can get that part too or should i just ask the parts specialist while i have them on the phone. it would be nice to have some idea what the heck it's called.

thank you very much for everyone's help. pictures of my car will be posted soon.

that it is in top pic the brakelight switch connecter on m/c one of two there. called? part no.? hmm. *that might be a harness part-not individual, little tricky to get back on ? one goes on before the other or they have to be turned a certain way and wires short for turning? fun.
