Trans Knock
I am getting a knock or a ticking sound from up in front of the trans pan. Between there and the convertor. It still drives and shifts fine just wondering what it is. The car is an 1982 auto.

A little more back ground. It doesnt change with the revs and it doesnt make a difference in which gear it is in. Does it both hot or cold and fluid looks new

could be a valve in the trans > check you vacuum lines > change the fluid and filter / inspect the pan for metal / clean the screen
