Requesting Euro cylinder head info
Need some information concerning Euro cylinder heads. Are the early Euro heads 78-79 any better that US models? I recently purchsed a cylinder head off of an 83 Euro model engine M28/21 and the last three digits were 348 with an 83 cast date stamp. Are there any other numbers I should look for in purchasing euro model heads or intake runner to confirm euro engine parts? Any help would be appreciated. Best Regards, milspam

78/79 US and Euro are the same, standard Euro actually goes 78/82 or 83. No benefit to the heads vs US, but all the 78/79 type cams are better than 80+ US cams.
M28/21 is an 84/86 Euro S motor, 80/83 were M28/ either 11 or 12. I "think" all the Euro S heads are a 348 casting number. Intake runners have a part number on them, but I don't recall what it is, two each of four types (part number) of runners. Not a bad idea to check the rear of the cams for the grind number. Sorry I don't recall all the numbers, but they are in other threads. |
