Door window scrapers

Hi Guy's,

I found this on a dutch site: Marktplaats.nl > Nieuw set raamafdichtrubbers voor uw porsche 928. - Auto-onderdelen - Porsche-onderdelen

Left and right window scrapers for 100 euros a kit. (+/- 130 usd)

Wat do you think?

Often you will see that the old rubber seal is not sufficient and also dries out so it can make scratches in the window.

The product we offer is made of high quality rubber with a soft lining to prevent scratches in the window and of course ensures a good seal.

The set includes 2 window rubbers and a detailed installation description.
- A driver side rubber window seal .
- A passenger side rubber window seal.

This great price includes VAT, excluding shipping costs.

Give them a try and let us all know. Those things are normally $150 each side.

I'm interested, just to make sure is this the same as covered by part number 928-537-321-03-OEM.

MPDano 02-06-2012 07:06 AM

That's the thing, no one knows. Just verify that all years are the same. I'd be game but it's not a priority for me right now.

robucop 02-06-2012 10:12 AM

Ok, i'll give it a shot.

they can't be worrse than the ones that are on there now.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll let you know how it works out.

Roger has a batch coming over and they will be selling for I think $110/set at Home - 928's R Us Porsche Parts Store in a few weeks. I'm one of the test bunnies.

Not sure they are the same ones, but it is REAL likely.

...and have you tested it yet??

Danglerb 02-06-2012 12:06 PM

Not til they arrive in the US, nope, maybe a week or so, but somebody in the RL thread I believe has tried them.

riber.bentsen 02-06-2012 12:09 PM

Sooo, based on what I could see in the pictures on page four on RL, this is a DIY fab-job that you have to adapt and not a new OE part?

Yep, sure looks like it.
also, one of the pictures in the RL post of an other dutch guy is the same as the one in the link i posted...i guess I'll wait until someone posts his/her experience with them.

whatudrivin 02-07-2012 05:47 AM

I wonder if we could contact these guys and do a group buy to get a better price? That is of course if they are the correct ones and work well.

Well, i would wait and see if someone post his/her experience first because wat i can tell from the RL post is that it is not "plug and play" and needs some cutting and trimming to make it fit.....

Danglerb 02-07-2012 01:19 PM

Group buys are a PITA, Roger found the deal, is sending out three sets to people as testers, so pretty much all the details on how to use them will come from him, so likely best to buy from him as well.

whatudrivin 02-07-2012 01:30 PM

Good deal. I will be needing those in the future.
