Brake fluid flush

I just did the brake fluid flush. I have one of those one man bleeding kits which is nothing but a small bottle with a magnet attached to fasten to any place above the caliper and a plastic tube with some fittings you just insert into the bleed screw end. Available at most auto stores for about $10. I used Super Blue fluid.

Do the right rear wheel first (farthest away from the master cylinder). Put some PB Blaster on the bleed screw and let it soak in a bit, then carefully open the bleed screw after you have attached the plastic line and bottle. One turn open is about all you need. Now go push the peddle down easily a few times and go back and check the line and bottle. Fill two bottles maybe 4 oz. each to remove some fluid from the master. Now add the new Super Blue and continue to bleed the brake until dark blue fluid comes out. Keep adding new fluid as you bleed each brake. Once the new fluid appears in the bottle, turn off the bleed screw and go to the next rear wheel and repeat process. The first wheel takes the longest. Once finished with the rears, go to front right side then left. You can push the peddle down by hand, no need to keep getting in the car. It took me maybe an hour or so to do this. Taking off and putting back on the tires is the hardest part. The bleed kit has instructions with it also.

Not sure if the fluid in mine was original but it was amber in color. It actually was pretty clean looking. Now it's all blue!
