Can't throw it out--928 speed record tape

Moving, wife on tear to throw out anything not used in last 5 years. She found my video tape of the 1986 Bonneville run by Al Holbert in a 928S4 setting the speed record.
First person who emails to jimchambers41@hotmail.com gets it for $5 to cover priority mail cost.

Yes, pre "You Tube" video cassette tape. Now I know why no one wants it.

I'll trade you a copy of James Dean at High Speed for it. It's tranfered to DVD. It will be something that's not on Youtube. lol

Trying to eliminate stuff, not replace it. It will go out with the garbage on Monday.

Danglerb 03-23-2012 08:40 PM

Give it to Goodwill, they aggregate that type of stuff so much of it eventually ends up in the hands of somebody that can use it.

924CarreraGTP 03-26-2012 10:35 AM

Yeah, a lot of it ends up in the trash at goodwill. lol

to be honest...GW throw out every little...if it doesnt sell in the store it then goes to bulk auction..and you buy it by the lb

I've spent many hours in the back of a main distribution center in Santa Ana Cal and its best the public never sees what goes on. Things broken, creme of the crop going to hand picked vendors, but you are correct little goes in the trash. They load up bins that are about 3 ft x 3 ft and 6 ft high with chain sides about 6 inches apart so you can sort of see inside and twice a week a hundred or so bins get auctioned off, then half or more goes in the trash as the bidders sort through the bins.
