im in the process of rewiring my CE,do i have to take out the metal clips in the panel that hold the backside fuse wires or can i just wire brush them and put wires back on? the first few were singles and a double-easy to get out,now im on a four and a five bar that wont come out to clean.wire brush them and go on? thanks for input or advice!

I don't think those are meant for in/out, I would not wire brush either in case they are plated, just clean with a good electrical contact cleaner. If your CE panel has any serious corrosion or damage, find a clean one used and skip the pigs ears remodeling.

pigs ears remodeling-never heard that one before! too funny.... the problem $ is tight at the moment and i cant find one of my year plus does it come wired up on the back? im new

I wire brushed mine with a brass brush. Worked fine.

ive been pulling out all tabs and replacing all bad wires and connectors using a wire wheel to clean the terms. they look brand new,but the ones i cant get out i will just clean and replace corr. connectors and move on. thanks guys! big help as always

Used would come fresh out of a car, with luck full of spare relays etc.

Im doing mine and I use my rotary tool (they are on sale at Harbor Freight for 10 bucks) with the brass brush .. Make em shiny, put the deoxit on and put them back together.
