So I just called the guy on this car. It is obvious he has no idea what hes doing with the car. Here is all the information that I got so far.

Guys name is James.

Racing seats
dashboard and interior doors have been redone but not installed
Automatic
States there is some steering problems. "Ball bearings in the steering column need replaced"
States it just got painted. ( :banghead::banghead::banghead: )

He is going to text me the vin number and possibly some more pictures. Claims it runs and drives well and that a tune up had been done in the last year. But nothing else other than that. Probably a lot of maintenance that has been overlooked in the past years. I wasn't going to get too involved with him as I have no interest in the car myself. He kinda gave me some push back on giving me the vin number. But I assured him that no personal information can be gathered with it and that I'm a collector that wants it to verify the options that the car has and its history.

By the looks of it, his second car must be a "JDM" civic. So sad.

Someone buy it, push it off a cliff and put it out of it's misery.

I remember painting a skateboard with several different cans of paint I found in the garage. When I was finished it looked very much like that 928 right down to the same colors that I tried to fade into each other. It was the 70s and I had visions of it looking like a custom Corvette. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...ys/rainbow.gif
I was so embarrassed by how it turned out I hid it and told my friends it was stolen. About a week later I scored a can of satin black paint and had it looking respectable again.

In my defense I was 6 years old, knew I screwed up bad and corrected the situation. I'd love to meet the psycho that owns that 928! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/blah.gif
If anyone is close, PLEASE go there and take a video of the whole meeting!

If you went to look at that car and took videos for us, you'd be one of the coolest people in the world, ever! :D

THIS WEEK ONLY FREE POLYURETHANE! A $19.95 Value!!! :D

A very close friend of mine actually goes to Maaco, when he gets a car that needs repainting. (He buys & sells cars) He'll strip it of all trim, and for $400, he's got himself a brand new paint job. And they do a pretty nice job too, but, you really should do any or all the prep work yourself, before you bring it into them. (Including any body filler, sanding, taping & masking) But, even at that, it's still a decent deal at $400 to have your entire car resprayed & clear coated.

They'll do all that work for you, but, they charge an arm & a leg.

He brought a car to them once, and forgot to mask off the rain rails on top of his Chevy Nova....They just sprayed right over them! Was pretty amusing... :D

that's because he's selling the cars and not keeping them. $400 jobs don't last long. The materials alone to paint my car were $800. But it can't be worse the this car so.. you have a good point

Fresh paint is like new tires, it hides the real problems which show up fairly soon after the sale.

Got the vin number if someone wants to run it for ****s and giggles.

I MUST HAVE THAT CAR! If only to drive a tank over it.

Seriously, a complete shame. Can't understand where people get their taste from. Kind of like taking "The Last Supper" and painting it on velvet with glow in the dark paint.

It's been done? This fellow must own that too.

The only redeeming point is that it makes my car look really, really good. If his car sells for $5500.00, my car is worth at least $25,000.00, if not more!
