Hose to Aux Air Regulator
My idle was screwed up after doing the fuel lines and i was going to spray out the AAR because it might be sticking. When I started to take off the rear hose attached to the regulator the end started to crumble so I want to replace it.
This is the little short straight one 3 or 4 inches long that faces the rear of the motor, not the curved one. The part is 999 239 09 40. Do I need to order from one of the 928 sites (30 bucks) or will a "Part Store" hose (< 5 bucks) work. I have a crimp forming in one of the lines and need to replace it with a longer one so while I'm in there might as weell fix that as well. Is there anything special about the hose? Thanks -Dan

Don't think there is anything too special about it. I replaced mine with a length of fuel vapor hose.

as long as it's not too susceptible to suction it will be ok. I tried to use a softer hose for mine and it sucked it closed...

I ended up ordering 1 from Roger @928srus. Better safe than sorry.

You can buy vacuum hoses in larger sizes, but regular hose does not work.
