S4 spark plug replace

Have a problem. Can't fit a socket in the spark plug hole...I think it is 13/16 inch socket size but socket won't even go into hole....am I missing something?

^^^^^ hopefully not,
open the hatch and retrieve the spark plug tool from the tool tray ,
then remove the plugs,
make sure to blow out the wells with compressed air first,
put a rag over the hole so if any oil is present it wont cover the fenders

The tool he mentioned is a socket with an extension and spring attached.
I forget exactly, but I used a 3/8 drive 4" or 5" extension with a universal joint and plug socket. You may be trying to use the wrong socket size for the plug. Try the socket on one of your new plugs to see what size. The plugs are recessed quite deep in the head. When you install the new plugs, make sure you get them started finger tight so you don't strip the aluminum threads. I would also stick with the stock replacement plugs.

Do yourself a favor and get one of these they work great. Its 13/16 and will fit no problem. You must be using a 13/16 deep socket but not a spark plug type socket, the spark plug socket is not as fat as a standard deep socket.

Spark plugs s4

Thanks...I found the right socket 13/16 inch with extension...I taped them together as I don't want the socket to detach in the tunnel.....I found Bosch wr7dp....I assume is platinum I will replace with Bosch wr7dc....I think gap is .o28 I measured gap from one old spark plug it was .o40

Just pulled mine, and it had platinums too. Manual says gap at .028-.032 I went with a snug .030... Only one was gapped right, the others were at .40 or larger. Must be how they came out of the box and the PO was not that bright.

This 13/16th set up is all you will ever need for replacing spark plugs on any 928. Get the proper copper plugs and don't worry about anything.
