WANTED: 2.7l long block for 944

Hi Y'all,

I had an unfortunate incident with my 944 race car--ignition rotor failed (disintegrated eventually) potentially causing ignition during compression stroke and now I have what sounds like a motor with some fried rod bearings and who knows what else.

Does anyone have a 2.7liter long block they want to sell? I am located in Atlanta GA. You can email me at mgeng@cisco.com

Very funny I can tell you one of my best life experiences was driving my dad's friend's 928S outside Munich Germany when I was 18. The owner was in the passenger seat encouraging me to break every traffic law that applied--saying all the cops were watching the Sunday dinner soccer game. What fun and what a car.

I posted in 911 and 928 forum hoping someone out there may have traded up and has a stash of 944 stuff.
