Car cut's out

1979 ROW 928 auto I was just driving along and the car quite and then started again??? WTF? Did this several times yesterday6/15/12 and to day. she will quit and starts right up anybody have an idea mechanical injection Checked the Dizzy and i have good vac i checked it at the booster with a gauge about 12 #

bad fuel pump.
defective fuel pump or injector relay.

Injector relay on a mechanical injection? i swapped the fuel pump relay.

Sounds like the pump to me, after ruling out primary grounds.

Do you hear the fuel pump doing or not doing anything?

Mechanical injection I don't think dies suddenly from fuel pump, but sputters out as fuel pressure drops. I would suspect ignition issues, start with the relay, fuse, swap out the coil if you have a good spare.

Yes i noticed the coil wire was a little Burnt i changed that wire and got the same results. When i got the vehicle i put a new ignition switch in (the old one was Shorting out) i will swap the starter relay. I have a MSD Master Blaster coil i can put on. any other thoughts will be greatly appreciated
