Congrats--another shark on the prowl

Way to go--mine was sitting for 3 years and after some $$$ and love its up and running also. Now the trick is to figure out all the electrical bugs. Have all grounds done except the tight fit by AC drier--tomorrow's challenge. Keep all 4 on the ground if you can.

Awesome! Now drive it. CIS needs to get cleared out and driven.

Great to hear! Congrats!

drove it around the block a couple of times and had a blast.(ITS DEFINITELY SHARK WEEK) i have a rad leak from the neck of where the the pass rad hose connects.its a small crack, is that repairable because its plastic or just replace it with a all aluminum rad.??
i also tried to put on a belt that i purchased from 928rus that bypasses the pollution pump but i couldnt get it to go on it was to small. does anyone know what mm size belt i need

MPDano 08-19-2012 07:44 PM

FYI, I went with a good used Behr with warranty from 928 Intl. You'll need to know if you have a single or dual cooler. Also, that belt will need to be the next size up. It's hard to tell which one you'll need so I bought both at NAPA, then returned the one that did not fit.

i just looked at the price for a new one holy smokes. i think i should just buy a parts car. theres a 81 for 700 bucks not to far from me. i guess everyone by passes that pump with that belt. mine is making noise but other than that just getting it to run right is half the battle. i can repair everything else. i have a nice shopping list rr axle boots, rack boot leaking on rt side. i have already done slave cyl, plugs, cap, rotor, tbelt ,tensioner, brakes, cleaned contacts and replaced all fuses.

i did notice that the cars charging gauge is reading 12volts but when i put a charging meter on the battery its reading 13 volts on my meter. ever see that in these cars?

Roger at 928sRus sells the end tanks and new end tank seal for @ $100. Then you just have to get it replaced. Pelican may sell them also but IDK for sure.

That's the hard part, getting someone to do it or do it yourself. It's been explored here in San Diego and no one will do it.

^^^^^

I found one in San Diego.....Art's Radiator Repair in Spring Valley. Great guy, they do plastic end repairs all day long. Showed me how they do them. Would have cost about 75 to 100 for labor as I remember.

Since mine was looking pretty shabby and has been repaired a few times, it looked like, I went with a used Behr from 928 intl. Great used radiator. No problems and has a 1 year guarantee.

Oh, I stand corrected as I thought you never found one.
