fuel sender wire diagram help

fuel guage is not working and just want to make sure the three wires are in the right pin holes. i put power to the purple wire and the needle showed a reading . the plug has numbers and the sender has three letters w t g . does anyone know which numbers match what letters.

Yellow/black to W, which is terminal 1, traveling to CE panel via plug T terminal 4.

Violet/black to G. which is terminal 2, traveling to CE panel via plug T terminal 3.

Brown (31) is ground. (see the upside down T symbol on the male plug at sender?)
Looks like it matches with terminal 3 of sender

Ground is located on 10mm bolt behind pass side quarter panel.

Gotta have wiring diagrams to have a fighting chance on these.
