Epilogue:

The shark is back on the road (in all of its sharkulence). The cold start issue has gone away - looks like the fuel system just needed to be thoroughly bled.

Some issues came up on Saturday during the first test drive - the car overheated quickly. This was originally thought to be due to the brakes, which failed! They rapidly began to build pressure until I couldn't move the car. The car was limped back to the shop after filling it up with some water (coolant reservoir cap let all the boiling coolant out) knocking loose one of the caliper bleed screws and seeing a fountain of fluid come out.

Diagnoses - bad vacuum servo on the brakes, so I just swapped back out to my old master cylinder and brake servo. On the overheating issue, I am embarassed to say I had the thermostat in backwards. Hey! I mostly work on air-cooled cars, what do I know about watercooled stuff. Car is now running great; I have put about 100 miles on it with no issues.

Next up: continue working on the ABS, get my secondary radiator fan and cabin blower running, re-solder the cruise control module, and start working on the central locking/alarm system.
