Air-Oil Scrubber Boxes-NOW AVAILABLE!

It has been a while since I have been on here. Somewhere between bringing Claudia home and fabricating a lot of parts for the TT systems my air oil scrubber boxes got out on hold.

I have 7 units that will be available for sale this week. Here are a few pictures of the new units.

As originally quoted the price is $100.00

Ready to box up and ship to those who are interested.

If you are having issues with oil in the crankcase breather system it helps to knock some of that down....BUT you have to design the system so it has the best possible opportunity to vent properly. That includes a fresh air inlet and a large outlet, like 1" diameter to make sure there is enough area for the gasses to escape without issue.

If you have no issues now, then there would be no benefit to you.

I just got my scrubber box in the mail yesterday. Initial impression is VERY positive. The scrubber was very well planned and executed.

In fact, I was so excited about it, I ran it down to my machinist today to have him trim the top flange down, as well as hog out the Porken filler lid to match for the ultimate scrubber pickup system. The machinist that I use for non CNC work has been around a while - he has gray hair in more way than one - and he was equally impressed with the execution and design of the piece.

If you are on the fence on this scrubber, it is by far the best in-crankcase solution that I have seen, and I give it my highest endorsement. It is also an excellent value. You can tell that there is significant amount of time in assembly, and it is worth far more than John's modest asking price.

Two thumbs up!

Hans

It's designed for high performance 928 engines...it helps to knock the oil out of the crankcase breather gasses. This is one of the 928's biggest flaws...specifically when force fed.

Sounds great. Oil sludge destroys engines everyday, and restricted breathing causes this.

But I'm still amazed that my 28 year old engine with hydraulic lifters has no ticks. To say that a 928 engine has design flaws is one thing, but then compare it to any Japanese engine with overhead cams.

928 rules.

John, I'll try one. I'll call you later. Just have Mark carry it home with him if he doesn't mind.

Sounds good...you can pay Mark the $10.00 shipping and handling. I'm now down to two of these bad boys.

Time to re-engineer for easier manufacture and make a few minor changes to the design and get a second batch pulled together. I'll probably go in on another 20 of them.

You could make the basket part so it's laid out flat and then folded up, even form the louvers in. Much less welding. (but you probably know that) But at 20 pcs, still going to be pricey. I hope everyone appreciates what a deal they are getting on something like that.
