That stance looks good! I think you got it licked.

PS. That's a good looking car.

Too late I know, but I spotted this in the WSM and it just occurred to me to post it in case someone ever reads this thread :)

How are the Eibach/Bilstein combo going for street driving? I've seen a few locals say they're a little too jarring.. but that could be age or road quality related :D

TO be fair, when I first installed my Eibach/Koni on my '89, I found the ride a bit crashy - that was with the shocks set about 80% towards hard. I turned them almost to the other end of the range to make them softer, and they work very nicely for driving around town.

Its going pretty well! Will post a picture soon of the stance. Looks cool.

I really like the stance - finally have it right, if not a hair low.

Haven't done a real twisty uphill or downhill run yet, but long sweepers are totally in control like being on rails.

A little bumpy, but not bad. Gotta put on some 16's to be able to compare it to what I know.
Its been a bit of a harsh ride, even on stock springs, with 18's.

I kept the 3 green stripe original springs on back, and have Eibachs on front.

Damn car was simply not going to get low enough til I swapped the front springs. They are wound down about as far as possible. There is some upward adjustment potential.

Am just now getting used to the car. Before now I'd only put about 3K miles on it. And that was a PITA because 2nd gear was screwed up. Now, with the new transmission and tight front suspension its going to be a pleasure to drive.

Next I want to conquer the antilock part of the swap. First, got to finish shock and tb job on wifes 86

FYI, I knocked this part out on my project. In the end I just bought some generic weatherproof connectors from Summit and and re-wired the ABS harnesses on the front wheels. The system is now up and running - the pump works great. Only problem is that the rear sensors are wrong, so I have to go back and change those out to 86.5+ as well. Will try to get the ones off my parts car without destroying them - I priced new ones and they are expensive.

I have a ton of other stuff going on in life so I bet it will be months before I touch this, but wanted to let you know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Mine is actually working.
