Christmas Gift to ask for..

A great new 208 pg hardcover Titled Porsche 928 by Brian Long, Veloce Publishing Ltd. 800-826-6600 Veloce Publishing $69.95

By Mark J. McCourt Hemmings:

Few cars have the staying power to appear bang-up-to-date in each of the three decades in which they are sold, but Porsche's V-8 powered 928 Grande tourer was one of them. The 928 has made up many a chapter in the 356/911-heavy Porsche enthusiasts books, but Brian Long's book is a rare volume focused exclusively on the front engined flagship. Porsche 928 thoroughly covers the car's mid-70s gestation and subsequent evolution through the mid-90s, The text is enhanced with an impressive number of interesting color and black and white images, some from period brocures from markets around the world. Rarely seen, yet also included here, are many photos and information about the car's racing history.
This is not an inexpensive book, nor will it be a common one on your bookseller's shelf, but even the casual enthusiast will find it interesting-and the true 928 aficionados will call it a must own

James in TX has a DVD and annual 928 calendar, worth checking out.

I grabbed my copy a few years ago, when Amazon had them for around $50.00, or something like that. I just saw this book on Amazon today for $900.00, and 10 "USED" for $350.00 each!!!!! What the hell is up with Amazon and their book prices??????

wow, that's more than some of our cars sold for.
good sign of the 928 enthusiasm out there i would think.

It is nothing, Amazon has a automatic pricing system vendors can use, and it goes nuts from time to time chasing its tail raising prices in a circle.

One would "assume" that someone over at Amazon would check this stuff? hehe

Although, I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to buy a car-book for over $900!
