Cool Air Con

My 1980 european 928 (I know, I've said it's a 79 before, but on checking the chassis no. it turns out to be an '80 model!) has A/C fitted but at the moment doesn't seem to operate. When pressing the switch on the dash the switch lights and a relay can be heard to close down in the fuse box. Under the hood however the compressor doesn't seem to engage. I've been told that it runs on a magnetic clutch mechanism. The pulley turns freely so I suspect that the problem lies with the clutch. Could it be a dodgy connection or loose wire somewhere? As usuall any help is much appreciated!

Hello

If the system is low on pressur it will not switch the compressorclutch. So check if you have power on the connector or bridge the pressurswitch.

If the clutch works then check if the AC relatet relay on the main circuit board works and if your voltage is under 12 V at idle.

Thanks for that! Just one quick question, where is the pressure switch located?
