Auto Transmission SLIPS badly at take off

Have had the trans and TT out for need TT bearings and Torque converter bearings. Also resealed the trans pump. After first try the trans slipped at take off but at higher speeds did well and reverse was great. Second try I took trans to a shop and THEY RESEALED the pump as I had damaged one of the seals when I did it. I reinstalled the trans today ( second time ) and the same problem is there...if not worse.

I am doing a lot of readings and it sounds like this is what happens when the B2 piston goes. Could this be bad timing as I had NO issue before I resealed the first time. ( I always look at what I FIXED LAST ) I KNOW the fluid level is good. Will take it in tomorrow to check pressure at modulater.

Any input would be helpful as I am at a loss and not sure anyone around here knows anything about this car.

Attached is a video where I am tryng to drive up the steep driveway from stop and it FINALLY makes it but it takes awhile.

Dean,

I would pick Greg Brown's brain on this. I'd offer a guess of my own but transmissions ain't my thing. I hope you get your shark back in good health soon.

Is the trans fluid at proper level when running?

Hello Dean.
I had the exact same problem in my Auto 88.
It is the B2 piston, 99% sure.
I did the work myself which was over 9 years ago.
Check out Rennlist and look up -Steve Cattenaeo- My posts on this fix may still be there as well as,-mpesik.
There is also a kit which Benz supplies for a first gear start in which I installed.
I used Viton seals as they are much much more durable than Factory.

Sounds kind of like a problem I had with my transmission at one point. You can read here what I found wrong and did. Transmission Drama
