1985 928s Fuel filler door
![]() Retuning to my parked car recently, I found the door covering the fuel filler cap hanging open; not sure if this had just "happened" or someone had given it a twist, but the result was that it wouldn't latch closed. When I took the door and closing mechanism apart (see photo), and comparing the pieces I had with the pieces shown in the manual/catalog, I found that (a) I am missing the small compression spring Part#928 504 345 02 (which fits on the "guiding rod", hinged on the door - see photo), and (b) the plastic "stop" Part# 928 504 326 02 which I have circled in the photo, is partially split with a piece broken off. Suggestions regarding a possible source of replacement parts would be appreciated. Thank you Dave |
