I had a helluva time getting her back in the shop...she did not want to go....

I think I know the answer, but if there is air in the clutch line, will it not grab? I had to really give her the gas and let the clutch all the way out before she even grabbed a little....I don't think it was slipping.

Remember, when I got it, the clutch pedal was on the floor....the brake reservoir was empty....I filled it, some ran out the master onto my floor board...then it stopped, and holds fluid just fine. I did NOT bleed anything....

Air in the clutch line will only keep in from disengaging.

Hmmm, well that sucks....what do you think it could be? Rust? Bad clutch? It seemed to engage just fine sitting up on the lift bars, but when it had to pull the whole car...different story.....maybe adjustment?

Oh...the "crud" on the roof is from the hood...I had the hood sitting on the roof to maximize space in the shop....I guess I should have dusted it off before the pics....I have new liner for the hood, but that wont go back on until after paint.

Just wondering. Why are you not doing anything with it? Seem like it has quite a bit of potential left at the moment.

What do you mean? I just brought her back from the dead.....read my "it's alive" thread....pages of info on this old girl....she will be completely restored one of these days. I just got her running, albeit not well...she needs the fuel distributor rebuilt...probably the WUR too....

Quick overview...found her for sale in the middle of nowhere last may, been sitting in a field since 1993. Fuel system was in the back hatch, including the tank.....I saved her....it went into storage while I was building a new house, then into its new workshop /home in August, where she sat until I got moved in....started wrenching on her again in Feb, then I lost my job in March, got a new one in April, and started working on her again.....

Ron,
You have grass! Great news, hope the clutch loosens up and releases fully. Could be just rusty.
BTW, had to cancel SITM today, call me for details, so won't see you Friday as planned, but I have more time than $ right now, so may get up to see you.

#30 sits up nicely (springs) and looks very straight (body). That clutch mecanism must be such a mess sitting on dirt for so long.
Maybe you should remove it and clean it all up.
Nice house.

Dave, big bummer man...was looking forward to seeing you. I'll give you a call.

Matt....you going to SITM? Don't think I heard a 100% yes or no yet..., yea, the whole clutch assembly will be coming out one of these years....think when I pull the motor, I will take out the entire driveline, open and clean everything, and put it all back together....it will be easier for YOU to paint with all the parts off.

Thanks on the house...we like it...

Going to get a trailer from my buddy this evening...if she fits, and I can get her on it, she will make it to SITM after all!
