HI All first time posting here I have gotten a lot of good advice and solved a lot of problems with the help from you guys thank you . Anyway I have a 1986 928S auto and am wondering if it would be possible to switch out the automatic trany and install a standard from the same year ? just wondering if it is worth the time and cost . any input would be great.

Expensive, usually cheaper to sell and buy a manual, especially if you figure the lost value on a frankenporsche.

Can be done, but costs add up fast since you don't really want to put in much that isn't new or rebuilt, and many of the parts carry a premium higher than the difference in the prices of whole cars. |
