Elusive Lightbulbs!

My 1980 model 928 was given a cosmetic makeover a few years ago to resemble a 928 S4. This ment that the rear bumber / light cluster was changed to the later varient. In these cars the bulbs are acessed from inside the trunk whilst on the earlier cars it was just a case of removing the rear light cluster. I've just had a brake light go and the only way I can see to change it is to remove the rear bumber section. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this, coz I'm a little flumoxed!?

On S4s the whole light unit is removed and then the bulbs can be changed. Look inside the luggage compartment and see if there is a large hex headed nut sort of behind where the lights are.
Remove that and the rear light will come out.

Hint; if your car still has a working brake light bulb malfunction system - "stop lamp" lights up on the dash until you operate the brakes, replace BOTH brake light bulbs at the same time.
Occaisionally, the different resistance between a new and old bulb will make the central informer computer think there is a brake light bulb not working.
