Porsche Crest What are the two brown wires on the LH plug?

I am wondering if anyone knows what the two brown wires hanging from the plug on the LH computer and what happens when you connect them? In this photo they are hanging in the upper right with tape on them, mine had no tape

I'm thinking its low octane fuel loop, takes out some timing, but not sure.

The green wires on the EZ harness short the air temp sensor input - making it appear as if the airbox temp is very high - retarding by 3°.

The brown wires on the LH harness tells the LH to change one of the O2 loop pattern maps to a slightly different one.
You might be able to see the difference if you log with a WBO2, but it's not something you'd be able to feel driving.

So under normal conditions is it better to have the green ones disconnected? When I got the car they were already connected, and I was having high idle problems. I was checking the fuses the other day and checking the readings from the temp 2 sensor, noticed the brown wires hanging and connected them, after doing these things the car will not start anymore, I put a new temp sensor in there re disconnected the brown wires and still wont start up ( it ran before doing this )

Yep, leave them disconnected. I find this a lot, where people automatically assume that unhooked wires are a bad thing.

Thanks Sean, The car Im resurrecting was worked on by people who should have never tried fixing it, Iv been a mechanic for decades but this is my first Porsche so its a learning experience, Iv finally gotten my idle to 1000rpm after its warm, was 1200. Next im going to see what readings I get from the MAF, and adjust it if they'r out of spec
