There is no easy way. If you have access to a lift the easy way would be to drop the whole drivetrain out from under the body. Then separate the engine from the torque tube and transmission. It would save you lots of time and headaches. You'd still have to disconnect brake lines, hoses, linkages, and the shifter. The exhaust will have to come out first.
Disconnect shock towers, suspension front and back, unbolt the cross member, and the rear axle assembly. Lift the body up and off of it. Most other people will tell you the long drawn out way of disconnecting the engine from the torque tube from the bottom, and then pulling the engine up out of the front. I say why not just drop the whole thing at once. I've never done it with a 928, but I've done it with 924's and 944's. When you drop the whole thing you can make sure that it all goes back together to specs as this is how Porsche built the cars in the first place. You should put a new clutch in it while you're in there.

I see no reason to pull the transmission with the engine..... That just makes it harder. I'm about to pull the transmission out of mine again, and I can assure you it's no fun. Don't you hate it when people sell you something saying it works, and it doesn't?
There are 4 bolts holding the bell housing to the engine, and 6 holding the flex plate to the flywheel. Label and disconnect all the electrical wires on the engine, hoses, ect.. unbolt the motor mounts, bell housing bolts, pull the dust cover under the flywheel, flex plate bolts, and yank it out. If you don't have a cherry picker, harbor freight sometimes has them for $99. A bit off topic, Brian, did you go to the college when the power tour came through Chattanooga? I didn't see any 928's on the trip.

OP WANTS to take them both out, and he has no flex plate, it's a clutch.
