New member 1980 euro top end swap to 84
I have an 84 928 with a 4.7 and an auto. I just came across an 80 euro S and got the complete engine for $550. I want to swap the heads and intake. Is this possible? I'm new to 928's. I just just up graded my brakes to s4's and alternator from 928 motorsports, so I have done some work but I want more power. Can I just swap the parts? Any info would be appreciated.

Everything will bolt on but a Euro runs of CIS injection and yours is one of those Jetronics. The Euros didn't get powerful for a few more years after the 80, there may not even be any gain.

The 80 Euro S has 300 hp. The heads and cams will give you the greatest bang for the buck, but retrofitting the engine to the CIS injection would be a lot of work.

So I can run the heads and cams with the 84 intake? What would that do to hp? Would advancing the timing be effective also with this type of set up?

Probably get you 3/4 of the way to 300hp. Go over to rennlist, there is a friend of Mark Kibort named
Scot who is vintage racing the same setup. |

80 Euro is CIS and came in two models same as US 78/79, and S with 300 hp.
Check all the part numbers, motor ID etc. |
