Grabbed a 5spd that had belt seize/fail at 37k... everything else is near perfect so hard to complain when all I have to do is fix the engine..

Family and friends seem to think this is the perfect project for me to get my feet walking again. And damn we sure did miss having a low mileage princess to dot on :D |

Yay me!
She gets her shift linkage put in tomorrow, if I get off work early enough....then to tackle blue hose and clutch line.....bleeding....then bust out what's left of the windshield....and then road test! Hopefully a few weeks away! |
Beautiful S4 Rixter, and I wish you well with your efforts to get her running again.
Like the original finish on the wheels, compliments the black interior well. -Matt |
Beautiful S4 Rixter, I hope that the engine repairs go smoothly,
and when you done it will be a terrific value, the rest of the car looks to have been well kept. BTW what was the cause of the T belt failure? |
Nothing like a 928 project to get you motivated, especially such a nice car to play with and ONE thing that needs fixing.
|
of course you should do the intake powder and cam covers as well
|
Stan,
Not sure yet of the cause of failure. Plan is to fix the problem, powder coat, replate hardware, replace faded/cracked filler necks etc... essentially make it look new. |
Absolutely Beautiful. :)
I am Green with envy! How much did you score her for? -Kerry |
