928 euro for sale

Just found this post on Craigslist:

http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/4063153554.html

It seems like there are plenty of pitfalls but the owner said he wants 1500.00

The car is stuck in Lodi

Up for sale is a grey market 928 1978. This car is for parts as i dont have the title, or keys. It was abandoned by a family member. It ran great and was parked here when the clutch went out. It has been stored inside until this week. I have the hood. Really nice interior, 5 speed. 209 369 3367 leave a message and your number and i will call you back or email

Ok, I'm assuming this is stolen and you guys have seen this same add before, but let me know if I'm wrong -- and this is a credible guy that we know firsthand so I don't hurt anyone's feelings when I make a joke about the PO being in the trunk.

Looks like a good project car if you could verify it wasn't stolen and actually locate the owner. Unless it was abandoned for 10 plus years I think this car is gonna remain stuck in Lodi

Except for being hard to impossible to register in some cases the 78/79 Euro is the same as the US version. Useful parts are shared only with those early models, so short answer is that its more a $500 car.
