87 s/4 set woes

1987 928 s/4 passenger seat does not move. The face of the two switches with directional arrows are missing. I have new oem ones for replacement.
BUT, to install and connect harness I must raise or remove the seat. The seat does not move using whats left of the switches. Tried to move seat using the mechanical moving torks screw buy turning as recommended. Does not work. Turns but does not move.
How can I move the seat in order to remove the seat hold down bolts in order to install the new switches.

the faces- small looseable parts in them. are missing and you have replacements.

your harnesses/motors are connected and get power. cant you put the faces - they push/clip(don't break clippy tab) on given the ball and pieces line up, then if they work you can get to cleaning - motor/gears/rails so nothing binds.

or wire connections you think don't work?
