As soon as my clutch comes in, she's ready to install. :D

you dont need a clutch to install the engine,
the clutch is installed after the engine is installed,
unless your on the 928 assembly line then the whole drive train is installed as one unit from the bottom.

I see the mountain bike is being used a lot :)

MPDano 10-14-2013 06:15 PM

Looking good! What's modded on it?

tmpusfugit 10-15-2013 04:04 AM

That's the wife's bike...doesn't get much use. Mine gets considerably more (Specialized FSR)

Mild clean up porting, Euro cams, headers, but most importantly.... Red epoxy paint, and a fancy painted shield on the intake-( good for at least 20bhp!):)

BTW your engine looks great,
I cant wait to see it in your car and you burning rubber down the street!
IDK but you may not be able to drop it with the headers installed,
if you can its a lot easier of course.

Outstanding. I'll never know what Porsche was thinking when they abandoned the obvious spider design.

Couldn't help but notice the SuperTech oil. Thought I'd give the stuff a try too.

The headers come off before install (held on now with two nuts for photo's)

Been using the 15w40 on almost all my vehicles without issue.

SuperTech is the Walmart house brand?

XLR8928 10-17-2013 04:32 PM

15W 50 will be a better choice for this engine

What's the blue hose coming off the oil cap? Is it just replacing the original hose?
