Fuel Hose Replacement

Just a quick thread to validate all the guys that preach about updating your fuel hoses.
Gotta admit I didn't always appreciate the hype, thought mine looked okay.....until I did it.

Hose stamped June 1985.
My son said that I should call the car "Fireball". That might stick.
Here's one view of after, feeling a little safer now. This is kit via Rodger.

Good job...that hose failed on the 84 parts car I have....the PO cranked it, and "POOF"....instant parts car....

I would consider going a step further and get a braided steel line there....I am sure someone makes one.....or one could be made.....I dunno tho' since my OB does not have that line....

That's a good idea Ron, I have seen some products out there but have not used them before, I will keep my eyes open.
What's funny (not really) is that the hose in the worst shape was the one that runs under the oil fill spout in a straight line between fuel rails--would assume less heat there?!

Thanks Dadddio, you may have saved my tail last week by reminding me!

Here is another fix I didn't move on quick because it looked ok from the outside:

Have a good weekend everybody.

Do you make these S.S. Fuel lines for all years of 928? I might have to email you. Thanks!

Presently, I only make complete hose assemblies for the 911 and 944 models. However, I would be happy to work with someone needing them for a 928.

Most of the fuel fittings on a 928 are unique. If you send me your originals I will do my best to remake what you have. I use only E-85 rated hose and tube imported from Germany. The hose is available in plain rubber and braided SS. I also have a limited supply of the black Polyamid tube used with CIS.

Please email me for details & pricing. I do not accept PMs.

2thumbs up!

Len is top notch....when I can stumble across some extra cash, I'm getting some of his hose. He is very helpful, and answered my questions ASAP!
