Shops That Work On 928's Near Reno NV?

I live in Reno, NV and was recently gifted a 1983 928S that needs some work. I've called every shop in the Reno and no one will work on this vehicle, even the shops that claim to specialize in Porsches (they usually have "Haus" in their name).

I don't have the space or time to do any work myself so I am running out of options.

Can anyone here recommend a qualified shop in Northern California that works on 928's?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

EBS Racing sells parts from time to time, but otherwise I suggest visiting SoCal and Greg Brown at Precision Motorwerks. Precision Motorwerks

Have Greg go completely through the car, and it should be reliable with routine service.

What shop did the previous owner use?

The person that gave me the 928 never had any work done to it. I don't know all the details, but it came to Reno from Oklahoma City as part of a wholesale transaction. It seems like a nice car, it just needs to have the exhaust manifold gaskets changed and a transaxle leak fixed. I find it frustrating no one will work on it here.

NorCal Automotive dot com in San Mateo can do that work. When I do not have time he does. Nice clean shop, and quality work, by trusted friend. I had him do my tranny filter and refill, swap half-shafts due to boot failure. I brought him my calipers to rebuild as well...I don't have the work area to do a lot of breakdowns...and cleanup.

My fuel accumulator blow while it was up during the tranny refill...gas flying, then settled down. I drove home took off the calipers since it was time for a refresh and took the fuel acc. off got a used one from 928intl and replaced it while waiting for the calipers. Now I have engine but need to put the calipers on.

It would be an extremely unusual 928 if that is all that is needed. Very few owners keep maintenance up for a couple years prior to selling.
