Frustrated with instruments

Anybody know anyone who can repair or explain the repair on the instrument foil on the back of a set of gauger's off an 82 928? The copper tabs at the plug are busting off more and more as they are plugged and unplugged. Breaks and cracks everywhere. Fix one thing and by the time I get them back in the dash something else cracks or quits working. Trying not to rewire with individual wires. Does anybody sell the foil assembly ??
HELP!!!

I think the circuit boards have been NLA no longer available for a few years on the 82.

So far options seem;

Brute force soldering of wires and new connectors.
Find a better condition pod or circuit board.

www.928intl.com is having their annual used parts sales... Half off all used parts. Might see if they have one...

Found a set of gauges off an 83 manual trans. Mine is an 82 automatic. The manual doesn't have a fuel consumption gauge and the speedo reads 160mph instead of 85mph. I am wondering if the foil circuit board is the same with just a few connector rings just not connected. Any Thoughts ?? Do you think if the foil is the same. Can't find part #s to match up on the foil

Stick the printed circuit, official name of the foil, in a scanner and get a good image of both sides and post it or link to it with a large image.

I've got a thread going on Rennlist now about getting longer term fixes and some good images would help.

So far the idea that appeals to me is to make an adapter harness. Small conventional PC boards to plug into the factory harness with leads terminated to attack directly to the point of use on the flex circuit boards.
