Zip code 18042 (Easton, Pennsylvania), LSD make a big difference in value, good to know the numbers not cast, but stamped into the flat cross piece below the diff. on the case. G28 something.

Dry and carefully packed in heavy cardboard boxes, should be just under UPS max wt if its still 155 lbs.

and put insurance on it. I ended up with a free upgraded tranny after UPS dropped mine and cracked the case.

Fair value at 300 even if unknown internals.

Early ones suffer from synchro issues so its a crapshoot.

Needs to get into hands of a 928 guy.

Thanks for posting it.

With very few exceptions all early transmissions will need rebuilding, and its not just syncro's typical is close to $1500 in parts.

I think 79 and 80 are different trannies in length, A swap will need a different torque tube, carrier and shift linkage. I'd check into it anyhow

If it has known good syncro's, no issues shifting up or down its worth about double a typical transmission.

Good way to buy it would be installed with a guarantee that it shifts properly.
