f l ü s s i g ' s website is ready to go!!!

We've done it.

Shawn Stanford, Leo Dijkstra (dutch 928 fan), Mike Heyse (courtshark), Jason Gonzalez, Derrick Bass, and myself have launched flüssig's website.

We'll be posting 924 928 944 968 content there regularly from owner's reports, featured cars, editorials, DIYs, technical; in short, anything related to the early water-cooled cars.

It's been a long road and we've all worked really hard to get this far, but we've still got loads to do...like laying out our first print "coffee table" magazine. This part of the project will no doubt be the most fun to do since it'll be a departure from the norm.

We want to give everyone here a HUGE thanks for your continued support, enthusiasm, and most of all, your contributions. And since flüssig will be in a perpetual state of evolution, there'll be lots of tweaks and changes we'll be making along the way to make it even better.:D

Take a look:

Feel free to give as feedback while we're touching up a bit.;)

I like naked women as much as the next guy. I've married quite a few of them.

Can you explain what a naked woman has to do with spamming Pelican forums to tout your new site? I'm just curious - unless you just like the idea of making your site appear to be targeted at horny teens?

The Green Mamba looks awesome. Can't wait to see the content grow for our 928's on your site. Keep up the great work :D

Looking good.

One comment on layout. I'm probably an anomaly these days, but I still use a 4:3 monitor (1280x1024). The front page doesn't quite work because the side-scrolling pictures are not displayed in their entirety because of the menu on the right side of the screen.

Thanks Dano! Your posts were one of the reasons I pulled the trigger on the 928...along with Jim Doerr. I really dug the fuel tank fix with the airless plastic welder...worked like a charm.

bueno, thanks so much for the feedback! I'm still looking into tweaking this software to work on every platform...lots of work to do! Looks like you live in NJ, we should connect. Are you in the NNJR PCA?

U-boat, I sent you a PM about your point being a very good one. I've recently joined Pelican at the suggestion of a member on these forums, The fixer, who had suggested to mention this project to you all here. I've been on Rennlist for a while, but I just haven't yet made it to Pelican to contribute.

Aside from that, yep, the girl in front of the mirror in the first post was symbolic in lots of ways. Aside from other publications not giving us a lot of early water-cooled Porsche content, they're not showing us any girls. I think Porsches and girls are in our hearts and minds constantly, so why not show them in tandem?

Way to go Pablo !

Thank you so much for doing this! Flussig looks really good. I may spend more time there than here.

Yes, I'm a member of NNJR PCA, but not super active. I'd definitely enjoy a meetup.

Just gave it a look, I like it very much. Hope it grows - will do my part by using it.

Hugo, I remember you from Rennlist! If you read Porscheforus at all, I've been writing a series on finding the right 928. Looking forward to meeting up!

Luthir, thank you for the support!

Great mag! Being a charter member of the YOFC (Ye Old Farts Club) I tend to cling to ancient technology. Is there a chance in the future of a paperbound format magazine? I'm in for a 2 year subscription if you do.
