1985 928S worth?
Anybody have an idea on what a really clean, single owner, 37,770 1985 928S would be worth? Still has the original timing belt in car. Heated seats, sunroof, lsd etc...
Its really clean. Thanks, Kenny |

That's around where the 86 5 speed traded, isn't it? The 6,600 black car.
I saw a long-advertised 85 auto with 12,000 mi, light blue, sell at around 13K a couple years ago. 37K mi is not all that low, and depending on preservation, it could need anything from little work to a mid-year crisis refresh.

Never buy a 928 based on price unless its a flip low price. First question should always be, is this the 928 you want, then work from that.
This is not a flip low price, its a premium of a good $5k or more over a "good" price, but if its the car you want that should not be a deal killer. |

Original timing belt and not a lot of miles, expect to spend some serious $$ to do neglected service....

28 year old timing belt. What else still looks good but has been neglected?
Answer: Probably everything. See above post from Neil

Thanks guys, I spoke with Rodger last night. He said 10-20k, all depending on how good is really good.
Its been stored in a heated garage all of its life, no snow and very little rain. The paint is awesome, the rubber on the window trim is still soft/supple. |

That's the kind that we love to discover. Good luck with the buy.
