No Start 82 928 Euro
I've had the car at the body shop for quite sometime -- they've
never had an issue with it firing up. Sure enough -- they are almost done and they went to move it yesterday and she'd crank all day -- but no start. I happened to be out there last night picking up a race car -- so I gave it a try with no luck. Cranks well, just doesn't even hint at starting. This car has always fired on the 2nd crank if the starter engaged. I did have an issue at one time with the tranny sensor -- but then there would be no starter. 1/2 tank of gas per gauge -- and I shot some starter fluid down the intake a couple times -- then tried to start it -- I was by myself, so couldn't do both at same time. I didn't have any other tools or info with me at the time and the body shop has limited hours -- so not like I can get out there over the weekend. I'm guessing that because the starter fluid didn't help -- that it must be spark -- but I didn't have a way to check that last night. I really don't want to have to trailer it home -- figure it out, then take it back to finish the last of the body work. However at home I can tinker -- as time allows. There I've got to be more tactical. thoughts? thanks, Mike

Doesn't fire on starting fluid, no spark or no compression. No spark is usually green wire, fuse, relay.

Seem to have the same problem with an 82 not a Euro though. Fuel pump kicks on I seem to have voltage to what looks like a ballest Resistors (two ceramic "tubes") on one side the resistors are connected by a wire the voltage is 7.92 with the key on. On the opposite end the voltage is 10.47 on one and 4.2 on the other. The wires going to the coil have voltage to both sides but its low one side is 3.47 the other is 1.41. Any suggestions? I put a new coil on it and it made no difference...
