Pics of the Oregon '84 dentless and painted
Here you go guys. I managed to get this into the local high school body shop...Imagine that...About a year in the making, but its turning out pretty sweet IMHO
They had a great time doing it and I found some sport seats out of an old 924. Got rid of the electrical cushy jobs. I wish I wasn't so far out west so I could join all of you in your fun runs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I jumped the gun and should have vacuumed ![]() ![]() As you probably read on my Oregon adventure, I got rid of my '79 (kept the phone dials though...You love em or you hate em) and ended up trading by buddy out of an '82 for my sons first project. He is out with it right now or I would post pictures of it as well...he calls it a she...

Looks great, tell us more about the paint. I dig phone dials too.
At some point we could have our own northwest tour in big mountains! |

I would love that. I know of at least four that are hanging around the Boise area. Well hidden, but they can't hide forever and I see them running around every once in a while. I know of three of us that would join you in the North West. Not including those four
![]() I had it painted a blue, silver metallic flake. Its black until the sun hits it just right. I'm happy to let it be a Boise High project. I'm sure the kids had never seen one of these in there. I replaced the passenger door with one from my buddies donor car and found a driver front fender out of Portland...Grafted it all together and let them do their thing. I've still got some work to do, but it's my daily driver and....ohhhh, what a driver it is. I got lucky. I thank my lucky stars that I even own one. It was my childhood fantasy. Many models to prove it. Two votes for the phone dials...I love it

The dash is next. I'm thinking about ordering one of the leather dash kits for nineapart and seeing how it goes.
P.S. I bought a front glass from Fastglass and paid $212 installed at my house. I got a quote from speedy glass of $1700 direct from Germany. shop around is all I have to say about that!

Not that far away in Billings with my '84 928 S. There are two others here in town, and a pretty great Porsche club I'm about to join. Absoroka POC. Great looking car by the way!

Looks good brother. Thanks for dropping off that glass at the house. Tonight I'm going to reinstall it in your old '79.... So if you are bored stop by and have a beer or 6. I am going to post an and on Craigslist for an Idaho 928 club. I did see that other 928S yesterday...Gunmetal grey with satin black wheels. Looked like phone dials but it was hard to tell.

I would not mind loaning a car for educational purposes! I thought it was black but was not sure.
There are 4 running 928s and I know 2 of the owners. Not sure how invested they are besides just caring for them. Mine is still in a field and probably a year from the road and 2 from being a nice driver. I do have a 944 that is coming around well. |

Mice have not touched the car because there are a bunch of cats among all the neighbors!!! I was surprised.
I plan to bring home this summer probably July. |

Looks good. Let us know how the dash kit works out, if you go that route...

Very reasonable other than the time it took. Under a grand and four months of no 928 sitting out front. I've learned to be patient with this car. I know I own one so time doesn't matter. I'm sure a lot of you can relate. Someone posted on here recently "not every tom cat owns a 928"
True Dat!
